In four short years, the US Army Air Forces grew from a small air service to a mighty armada that swept the Luftwaffe from the skies, and was capable of projecting force on a global scale. AAF enlisted men of WW2 performed a variety of maintenance, clerical, and flying duties, all of which contributed mightily to the war effort. This Lot of 5x US Army AAF WW2 Badged Wool Service “Ike” Jackets remains in Good to Very Good condition, with some pinholes at most of the left chests where additional insignia appear to have once been, some scattered small moth holes to a few of the jackets, and with some scattered age wear evident. Most interestingly, they all are about a Size Small Regular, bear some sort of AAF patch on at least one shoulder, and carry a variety of collar discs (though one jacket is missing its right collar disc), ribbon bars (though two jackets have no ribbon bars), and chevrons throughout. This is a great lot for a beginning collector.
