Our Assessment: Winchester made the Model 60 between 1930-34 in the depths of the Great Depression, and sold around 165,000 units. The Winchester 60A variant, produced from 1932-39, was available in a Sporter or Target version, and they only made around 6,000 rifles. The Target version had a 27" barrel, aperture sight, and most had a finger grooved stock (this one does not). Given that there were only around 6,000 made, they’re quite collectible. This example is well preserved and in Very Good to Fine overall condition, deserving a place in a discerning Winchester collection.
