Overall Condition: These rifles retain about 97% of their metal finish. Each has taken a slight plum hue and has a couple light marks. All of the barrels retain the majority of their finish and show only faint marks, aside from the shotgun barrels which show some more notable nicks and scratches. All markings are clear and the screw heads range from sharp to lightly tool marked with strong slots. The markings are clear. Overall, these rifles are in Fine Plus condition.
Mechanics: The actions function correctly. We did not fire these rifles. As with all previously owned firearms, thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: These rifles and their barrels come in four Gander Mountain hard cases. Two of the cases are slightly bulging on the sides.
Our Assessment: There are some members of the hunting and shooting community that take particular pride in their marksmanship, and these are the folks who seek out modern single shot rifles such as the Thompson/Center Arms Hunter to hone their craft and display their skill. This set, consisting of 2 receivers and 12 barrels, is ideal for those serious shooters, with options ranging from busting clays to target shooting to hunting North American big game. The dozen barrels are of various calibers, and most are equipped with a different variation of Redfield scope suited for the ballistics of the round for which the barrel is chambered. This is a terrific set for the well heeled shooter looking to add a variety of firepower to their arsenal.
