Our Assessment: This is a true Remington 700 Police rifle—not a Varmint Synthetic—with the correct parkerized 26” heavy barrel, factory H-S Precision stock, and all the rugged, reliable attributes that made these rifles a staple in law enforcement and tactical communities. It was manufactured in November 1999, a period when Remington was at the top of its game for precision factory bolt guns.
More than that, this rifle was part of the personal collection of Paul Walker, the beloved actor and car enthusiast known best for his role as Brian O’Conner in The Fast and the Furious. Paul was a serious firearms enthusiast who appreciated quality tools, and this rifle—with its taped handload data and top-tier Swarovski Z6 optic—was clearly set up with performance in mind.
As collectors continue to recognize the cultural significance of Walker’s legacy, firearms from his collection may one day hold a place alongside the most iconic celebrity memorabilia. You can almost picture Paul, looking down from a shooting range in the sky, plinking alongside James Dean and Elvis—three legends sharing a moment, rifles across their laps. This isn’t just a precision rifle; it’s a piece of American cultural memory.
