Our Assessment: This Ruger New Model Single-Six Bisley in .32 H&R Magnum is a superb example of Ruger’s commitment to precision and shooter-focused design. The Birdshead grip frame is a little more compact with fewer sharp edges. Paired with a 4 5/8" barrel and small magnum cartridge, this makes for a good carry revolver. This example presents beautifully, with deep blue on the barrel and cylinder and a striking case color frame that sets it apart from more utilitarian Single-Sixes.
The .32 H&R Magnum chambering is an oft-overlooked gem, offering low recoil, impressive accuracy, and small-game effectiveness in a cartridge that bridges the gap between .22 WMR and traditional centerfire revolver loads. For reloaders and target shooters alike, this is a flat-shooting, high-velocity option with practical applications. The Bisley version was produced in far smaller numbers than the standard Single-Six configuration, and finding one in this condition with the original box and paperwork only adds to its appeal.
Whether you’re collecting Ruger revolvers, looking for a trail companion, or seeking a small-caliber revolver with style and shootability, this Birdshead Single-Six is a top-shelf option. The condition, the finish, and the original packaging make it equally appealing to the collector and the shooter alike.
