Our Assessment: The Ruger Single-Six is a single action rimfire revolver produced by Sturm, Ruger & Co. First released in June 1953, the Single-Six has probably been used to teach more kids how to shoot a revolver than any other since. This Ruger Single-Six comes to us from 1966, retaining the great majority of its original finish. Its 9 1/2" barrel gives a wonderfully long sight-radius, allowing for great precision with the .22 LR cartridge. While this revolver's serial range is indicated to be for a Single-Six Magnum by Ruger, it has a serial-matching .22 LR cylinder installed. The topstrap is drilled, tapped and filled, so you can mount the optic of your choice once you sort out the mount needed. The action functions well and this pistol should prove to be a great companion in the field, or for plinking fun. The cylinder allows use of .22 Short, Long & Long Rifle cartridges, giving an array of uses. In its condition, this nice C&R revolver would be a great new range toy to put through its paces or a neat addition to a Ruger collection. Please see our pictures and good luck in your bidding!
