Bow hunting is a true test of one’s hunting skills, requiring more stealth and patience, but with a greater sense of reward when the animal is taken. This Late Movie Star Paul Walker's Personally Owned Martin M-44 Firecat Compound Bow is in Very Good Condition, with the ends of the top two sights having neatly broken off long ago, a white scuff mark at the right side of the handle, a crack in the plastic on the sight adjuster, and with some light overall age wear evident. Like all used bows, we would recommend having it re-strung before using if so desired. Most interestingly, this piece belonged to and was used by the late movie star Paul Walker of “Varsity Blues” and “Fast and Furious” fame, and is being consigned directly from the family. A signed Certificate of Authenticity stating as such will accompany this piece. We were told that Paul took this bow on hunting trips while filming the 2006 film “Eight Below” in Canada. It features a camouflaged metal frame with matching camouflaged fiberglass limbs, elegant brown two-piece walnut handles, a peak weight of 55 lbs, holding weight of 50.7 lbs, string length of 35”, draw length of 29”, and a bow number of “881014”, comes with two weights, a Cobra bow trigger, two extra bow strings, two extra sight posts, and the original “duck hunter” camouflage zippered nylon carrying case, and the set is a fine example of a one-of-a-kind Late Movie Star Paul Walker's Personally Owned Martin M-44 Firecat Compound Bow.
Included with this item is a hand-written letter from Paul Walker Sr. discussing his son’s firearms and shooting experiences. He specifically mentions that his son used this bow to harvest a black bear in Canada. We thank Mr. Walker Sr. for trusting us to help with his son’s collection.
