Our Assessment: The Winchester Model 12, often called “The Perfect Repeater”, is one of the most iconic American pump-action shotguns ever made. Introduced in 1912 and produced until 1964, the Model 12 earned a reputation for rugged reliability, silky-smooth pump action, and excellent handling qualities. This 1947 production example, chambered in 20 gauge with a 26" cylinder bore barrel, is light, well-balanced, and a classic upland or small game gun.
With its clean bore, solid mechanics, and C&R eligibility, this Model 12 is both a shooter and a collectible. Whether you’re looking for a vintage American-made shotgun for the field or to add to a Winchester collection, this 20-gauge embodies the craftsmanship and reputation that made the Model 12 legendary.
