Angelo Bee engraved 1962 Colt New Frontier .45 LC 7 1/2" Single Action Revolver & Box
Our Assessment: From 1890 to 1989, Colt MANUFACTURED a variation of the venerable Single Action Army with a uniquely different profile. The "Flattop Target Model" was fitted with an adjustable leaf rear sight and a blade front sight. The New Frontier has that sleek flattop design with a rear sight that is adjustable for windage and elevation along with a target ready ramp front sight. The New Frontier was offered in a few different calibers and in various barrel lengths. This 7.5" example is chambered for .45 Colt and has been quite beautifully engraved by Angelo Bee. A Master engraver at Browning, Angelo would eventually move to America to ply his trade after he had honed his skills to become one of the finest engravers in the nation. This skill shows in his breathtaking mixture of traditional foliate accents, relief scroll engraving, highly detailed and lifelike game scenes, and the preservation or accurate re-stamping of the markings. Along with the included case, this will make a gorgeous display in any collection
