Our Assessment: This a Springfield Armory 1911-A1 Mil-Spec pistol chambered in .45 ACP with a stainless finish and a fixed front and drift adjustable rear sight. The pistol is in about Fine condition with about 96% of its finish remaining. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and no erosion. Inspired by the original G.I. 1911 which has served for more than a century with members of the U.S. military, the Springfield Armory Mil-Spec gives you a modern take on a true classic. Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a recessed white dot and is fixed on the front of the slide. The rear sight is a flat-topped square notch sight with two recessed white dots and is dovetailed into the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two piece checkered wood panels with the Springfield Crossed Cannons logo in the middle of each. There are light handling marks, but no notable defects. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. The grip panels rate in about excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion. In this writer's opinion, this bore rates a 10 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 96% of its metal finish. There are some handling marks, scuffs, and light draglines. There is a very fine takedown line on the left side of the frame near the slide stop. There are some hardly noticeable specks of surface oxidation on the top of the slide. The markings are clear. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this handgun is in Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this gun.
