Engraved Colt New Line .22 Short Rimfire Pocket Single Action RevolverOur Assessment: This a Colt New Line .22 Revolver, made in 1876. The revolver is particularly interesting as it has factory engraving and a legible etched-panel on the barrel. About 16,000 1st Model pistols were made between 1873 and early 1876, with over 39,000 of the 2nd Models produced in 1876 and 1877. Colt stopped producing these cute little pocket pistols due to overwhelming competition from cheaply made "suicide specials". This revolver will be a nice find for collectors of early Colt revolvers.
