The Model 23 is considered by many to be Winchester's last great shotgun. This example is in excellent condition with signs of very light, responsible use. Its beauty is matched by functionality, the engraved receiver and beautiful walnut stocks paired with a mechanical single trigger and selective ejectors. Choke: The left barrel is marked Full, Fixed. The right barrel is marked Modified, Fixed. The choke markings do not reflect our gauge measurements. Both muzzles are tighter than our gauge's Full measurement.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a rear-facing white bead fixed to the rib above the muzzles. There is a smaller white mid-bead fixed to the rib. The top of the rib is serrated to help reduce glare.
Weight: 6 lbs, 8.1 oz.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered walnut featuring an ebony inlay forend, a capped semi-pistol grip, a straight comb and a solid buttpad. There are a few light scratches and compressions. The checkering is sharp. The LOP measures 14 1/2" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The drop at the comb is 1 3/8". The drop at the heel is 2 1/4". The cast is neutral. The stocks are in excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bores are bright. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates a 9 or 10 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is no notable wear or damage, just some light handling marks. The screw head is sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun is in excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a more thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun comes with a suitcase-style Winchester case and a serial-matched Winchester cardboard box.
