Sights / Optics: The front sight is a half round blade pinned to the rib. The rear sight is a "U" notch in the frame.
Grip Configuration & Condition: The grips are checkered black hard rubber with smooth diamonds and S&W monograms. The grips are serial matching. There are some scattered nicks and scratches. There are some scattered areas of rub wear and smooth checkering. The grips rate in about Very Good overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is dark and the rifling is sharp where not interrupted by erosion. There is scattered pitting and erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion and for the age, the bore rates a 6 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 60% of its metal finish. There are scattered areas of finish loss, discoloration from oxidation, nicks, scuffs, and scratches. There are some bubbles in the nickel and a few cloudy areas and some areas of light erosion. The screw heads are sharp to lightly tool marked. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a more thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
