WWII German e&F Horster Solingen Parade Bayonet & Sheath
This a well preserved WWII era German Parade Bayonet complete with Sheath and Frog, overall length 19 inches. In Good to Very Good overall condition, the blade shows minor scratches and spotting, and some of the metal on the grip is worn and peeling. It features an attractive two-piece stag grip and metal alloy eagle head pommel. Grips are in Very Good condition, showing light handling marks, there is a small hairline crack in the left panel. Very shiny nickel-plated 13-inch plain blade, flat edge with fuller to the back edge. The overall length of 17 1/2 inches, e&F Horster Solingen trademark to the Ricasso, and the guard is marked "S. Mi. 21." It includes original scabbard with leather frog attached and complete with dress portepee. The leather shows moderate wear but has aged nicely, it is thin and brittle in a couple of places, remaining in Good usable condition. This an impressive piece of WWII history that will go nicely in a Military or Historical collection.
