US Marines of the post-war era continued to wear the classic dress blue uniform, though the post-war model differed by having 4 front pockets. This USMC Marine US Post-WW2 Badged Dress Blue Tunic W/ Breeches Uniform is in Very Good condition, with some pinholes at the left chest of the jacket where additional insignia appear to have once been, the EGAs at the collar having been installed incorrectly (they should be switched for proper display), and with some light overall age wear evident. Most interestingly, the tunic features 4 front pockets, distinguishing it as a post-war model, and carries a 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing patch at the left shoulder, a ribbon bar for the American Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal with two “battle stars”, and WW2 Victory Medal at the left chest, red felt based Corporal chevrons at the sleeves, and gilt M-37 enlisted man’s Eagle, Globe, and Anchor insignias at the collar. It’s complete with a pair of unique, almost certainly tailor made dress blue breeches with button calves and a “blood stripe” down each leg, confirming a set of trousers for an NCO. This uniform is a great relic from the “Old Corps”.
